Does Achieving Our Goals Give Us Long Term Happiness?

Probably not, but the growth we went through getting there does

What does success mean to you?

The definition that made the most sense to me was this one by Earl Nightingale:

“Success is the PROGRESSIVE realization of a worthy ideal.”

No, it isn’t the achievement of our goals which keeps us contended in the long term. It has always been about the expansion, the growth, the proverbial JOURNEY.

It’s about the failures, which help us understand what we really want.

It’s about the friends, connections and relationships we build along the way.

It’s about getting struck down, and getting stronger as we rise, yet again.

It’s about knowing where we’re headed, and enjoying every grueling step of the way.

In this regard, dear reader, we are clear and unequivocal successes 🙂
