Award-winning, global PR and advocacy firm SPAG has brought in new leadership as part of its growing commitment to the Malaysian market and meet the increasing demands of sectors like healthcare, technology, Consumer, and Start-ups in the country.
SPAG offers clients agile, innovative marketing-communication solutions rooted in the understanding of the Asian market including industry expertise, technical knowledge, regulatory ecosystem, and consumer behavior. Guided by data and insights, SPAG values realism and truthful communication, be it to its clients or the public.
To champion the growth of SPAG in Malaysia, the company has brought on-board Farah Zuber, who brings more than ten years’ experience in integrated communications and reputation building. “In my view, SPAG Malaysia’s positive start is a testament of the network’s commitment to understanding local businesses, sectors, and stakeholders. We understand how the market works; therefore, we can create bespoke solutions that meet our clients’ business objectives. I will hold the same commitment strongly as we grow our presence in Malaysia. I am excited to be part of this transformative journey with SPAG, and I look forward to partnering brands in Malaysia to drive more value, impact, and reach within the communities,” she said.

Throughout her career, Zuber has been involved in developing brand awareness and reputation for homegrown and multinational companies from various sectors, namely Digital and Technology, Oil & Gas, Energy, Telecommunications, Healthcare and Life-science, and Property and Development. Recognized for her forward-thinking approach to integrated public relations and advocacy, Zuber aims to build SPAG’s presence in Malaysia by focusing on the consumer and technology sector while leveraging on the firm’s long standing experience in healthcare and medical.
Zuber will work closely with Priyanka Bajpai, SPAG Regional Head, to grow its footprint in the nation. “Our expansion in Malaysia is a response to the growing demand by local players for a regional agency that possesses a strong understanding of consumer behavior that, in return, will close the divide between brands and audiences. With Farah’s experience and knowledge in the local market, coupled with the support of our experts across the region, we are confident that SPAG will be the ideal agency partner for companies in Malaysia”, said Bajpai.
“This geographical and practice expansion into Malaysia brings SPAG a step closer to our goal of having a stronger presence across Asia. As we work with Farah to fortify our Malaysia portfolio, SPAG will continue to broaden our footprints to other leading markets, namely Vietnam and Taiwan. Our eyes are on the prize, and that is to be the most sought-after integrated PR and advocacy agency in the region. Ultimately, the world,” said Aman Gupta, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, SPAG.
SPAG foresees a continuous incline in its business trajectory in 2021. With a three-fold growth outside of the Indian market in 2020, the firm is set to expand its presence into Europe and the US in 2025.
