Following the official announcement of the Singapore-Hong Kong Air Travel Bubble (ATB) on 26 April, a significant spike in travel search activity between the two countries has been detected across ADARA’s data consortiums.
Key observations in ADARA’s latest data include:
- On the day of the announcement (26 April):
- Flight search activity from Singapore to Hong Kong increased by 14 times
- Flight searches from Hong Kong to Singapore increased by 13 times
- Compared to the average number in April 2021, the number of flight arrival searches concentrated on the commencement of the ATB (26 May) is 15 times higher
