The ninth episode of Vibes of Marketing – the largest Outdoor show organized in the University arena initiated by the Department of Marketing Management, FMSC was unveiled as a big hit last January 2020. The spectacle was staged in a big scale at the University ground, exhibiting talents of creative marketing undergraduates, inter-graduates, graduates, Alumni, Post graduates, Diplomatists & Advanced diplomatists, toned and raised by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
With the motto of “Dare to be Different”, the Marketing Management Association along the way starred the University with tremendous amounts of events and concepts eliciting strong bonds and becoming trendsetters. And this time with flying colors, J’Pura Marketers repositioned VIBES 2020, rewriting its long-written history, setting their bar at upmarket. The concept that began with the initiation of Senior Professor Neville Warnakulasooriya back in 2007 as an indoor display, today it augmented to an opulent outdoor.
The striking outdoor display has always been known for the ideal platform to manifest all-rounding aesthetic skills of Marketers, and this year the team players of the department unveiled their capacities in grand scale with the support of a panel of lecturers headed by Prof. Amila Jayarathne and with corporate sector aiding alongside.
The day was crowned by the presence of Prof. Sudantha Liyanage, Vice-Canceller USJ; Dr. U. Anura Kumara, Dean of Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce, USJ along with distinguished invitees namely Dr. Somarathne Dissanayake, Mr. Dukgannarala, Mrs. Duleeka Marapana, Mr. Sujeewa Priyalal, Mr. Dilantha Malagamuwa and many more.
On their ninth execution of VIBES, J’Pura marketers exposed their true capacities, reminding the world repetitively that products of USJ aren’t mere traditional outcomes, but personnel with capabilities tempered with skills, competencies and unique creativeness.
